If the only people who wore white on their wedding day were virgins, the white wedding dress industry would go out of business;)
-
isn't that how it goes most of the time anyway these days? don't worry about it and have the time of your life :)
-
Course it is!!! The majority of brides shouldnt be in white, if they were to be politically correct :)
-
If this is your first marriage..then YES! Wear white! It's not how pure you are that determines the color, it's that this is the first time you are legally bound to someone.
-
Yes, these days the bride usually wears white. I don't think it's a symbol of virginity the way it used to be.
-
You can wear any color that you want to wear, and don't let ANYONE tell you any differently. ;-)
-
Absolutely - it's no longer important whether or not you're a virgin. What's important is YOU. So do what you want!
-
I wasn't a virgin and wore white on MY wedding day!
-
not of you want to follow the tredition, but noone does these days.
-
Oh. THATs why your supposed to wear white? Thats stupid. Yeah, what else are going to wear? Neon orange?
-
It's an old rule of etiquette. However, these days, anyone can wear any color. Why? White as a color signifies purity, and hence virginity.
-
I just commented on a question like this, lol. I will be a virgin bride and I want to wear a bold color like purple (Vera Wang has a purple mermaid dress that is to die for). White doesn't really mean anything to me, so I figure why not have fun with it. Wear what you want and tell anybody who doesn't like it to take a flying leap.
-
All those who wear white are not virgins so why do you bother. Just follow traditions and do what you feel right about!
-
Course it is! Who told you otherwise? It doesn't matter what you wear, just have fun.
-
CONGRATULATION, Of course its okay to wear white on you're wedding day, weather or not you're a virgin or not, this is 2008 not the 40's or 50's or whatever the year was when you could only where white if you're a virgin. Brides now a days wear pink, Blu, Red and even black for there wedding dress, so what would people say about that? As long as you're comfortable and happy in you're dress. I would'nt give anyone a secound thought. Good Luck
-
Hah, tradition to the wind. Sex isn't a bad thing, and it shouldn't really matter. Most people do it anyway. Good luck! xD
-
I would wear it if it was wedding. Actually I did.
-
If only virgins wore white, the white wedding gown makers would be looking for government help also.
-
Its ur wedding day wear what you please! I agree with the person who said *If the only people who wore white on their wedding day were virgins, the white wedding dress industry would go out of business* cause they're 100% right. The people who are virgins getting married these days are becoming a shrinking minority. O__o
-
You wear what ever you want, Hon! And enjoy your day and the rest of your life with your husband. The people who get their skivvies in a twist over what color a bride wears on her wedding day aren't worth trying to please. Happy wedding and more importantly happy marriage. =)
-
I'm certainly not a virgin and I plan to wear white on my wedding day... if I havent missed it already, have a fantastic day, if I have, hope you had a fantastic day :))
-
Honey, if only virgin women wore white to their weddings, nobody would be wearing a white wedding dress
-
yes, it is perfectly fine to wear any color you like. congrats..
-
Of course:) Was it ever an issue when you wore anything white before? The day is about you and your honey. Celebrate and keep celebrating!-Congrats:)
-
Wear whatever you want. It's your wedding and you get to choose the dress. There are no more scarlet letters.

I don't frequently link my own answers, but check out this one. Maybe it'll make you feel better about things. http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/1031937

It's your wedding...do whatever YOU want:)
-
Is it ok for every woman of the occident to wear white on their wedding day, even though they are not virgins?
-
For what you pay for a wedding in this day and age... You could wear a baby diaper and a bonnet if you want to and it SHOULD be okay.
-
It's perfectly ok by me. If every girl who wasn't a virgin did not wear white, there would be no white wedding dresses. Your sexual history is no ones business other than yours. This includes your friends, your parents, and you mate. You mate has a vote in your sexual future, while he can't be first, he can be the last.
-
Well...ok then,but just this one time,alright?
-
That is so old school! Of course you can. Most folks don't pay any attention to that. :o)Wear purple if you wish! LOL It is your wedding.
-
Most do....;-D...
-
Yes. Tradition doesn't play the big part it once did. You can get away with almost anything you want where weddings are concerned these days.
-
Of course!
-
98 percent of brides are not. Women who marry for the second and third time wear white. Kate Middleton married Prince William in white and they lived together for four years prior to the wedding. Their wedding was televised to a billion people. around the world and his grandmother the Queen of England didnt have a stroke over it. So, logically, do you think anyone cares?
-
You can wear any colour or style dress you desire on your wedding day. If you get married in a nudist resort you can wear nothing. Many people who are nudists get married in a resort. All who get married today wear what ever they desire it is their choice and what pleases them and not those in the audience.
-
i dont see why not
