Every object, including humans, would float into outer space and die. there is no oxygen. we would float forever. Gruesome thought.

All large scale structures in the universe would tear themsleves apart. Not only would the stars explode, as SalientAlien wrote, but the galaxies would fly apart. Planetary bodies that are geologically dead (Mars, the Moon, etc.) might hold together by virtue of the strength of the materials from which they are made, but the gaseous planets would also explode. Planets, like Earth, would keep expelling mass into space with every volcanic eruption. The atmospheres of the terretrial planets and anything that is not attached to their surfaces would fly off. Finally without gravity all satelites would just fly off into space.

You wouldn't have to save up for a NASA space flight - it would be free to all.

If I knew about it ahead of time I'd just make sure that I didn't jump or make any other sudden upwardly vertical movements. If I knew about it before everyone else then I'd bet Bill Gates $1,000,000,000 that I could walk on water at the exact time that it was going to occur. ;)

It is hard to imagine 6 billion dead humans floating around in the atmosphere (or rather, the 'floating away atmosphere') of the Earth, and then suffocating in the near vacuum of space!

And it is not even sure that the cohesion of the earth would be enough to keep itself together. But this was just about the gravity of earth. If the gravitational pull of the sun stopped, the earth would leave its orbit and get away from the sun. It could also happen that the sun don't stay together because it does not attract its own matter anymore. Um... what is gravitational pull?

The gravity is not there because we made it stay,by virtue of many forces that we understand and many that we dont understand,gravity gathers its meaning.so it is even possible that nothing happens and its possible we fly at hundreds of kilometres an hour into the space.but the point is if earth loses its power of gravitation i as a part of nature lose my virtue of gravitational pull too...
