  • Every object, including humans, would float into outer space and die. there is no oxygen. we would float forever. Gruesome thought.
  • Also, the planets would fly apart and the sun would explode.
  • All large scale structures in the universe would tear themsleves apart. Not only would the stars explode, as SalientAlien wrote, but the galaxies would fly apart. Planetary bodies that are geologically dead (Mars, the Moon, etc.) might hold together by virtue of the strength of the materials from which they are made, but the gaseous planets would also explode. Planets, like Earth, would keep expelling mass into space with every volcanic eruption. The atmospheres of the terretrial planets and anything that is not attached to their surfaces would fly off. Finally without gravity all satelites would just fly off into space.
  • You wouldn't have to save up for a NASA space flight - it would be free to all.
  • If I knew about it ahead of time I'd just make sure that I didn't jump or make any other sudden upwardly vertical movements. If I knew about it before everyone else then I'd bet Bill Gates $1,000,000,000 that I could walk on water at the exact time that it was going to occur. ;)
  • My boobs might stand a chance of staying above ground;)
  • There is no ''gravity'', the Earth sucks.
  • All biotic and abiotic objects will lift upwards from earth.
  • Nothing would change. The "theory" of gravity is only a ploy by liberal scientists to discredit the Flying Spaghetti Monster, who holds all things to the earth with his infinite noodly appendages. I recommend you look up the alternate theory, intelligent falling. RAmen.
  • It is hard to imagine 6 billion dead humans floating around in the atmosphere (or rather, the 'floating away atmosphere') of the Earth, and then suffocating in the near vacuum of space!
  • Everything and everybody would fall into the sky.
  • we would all float! cool!!!
  • Your pants would stay up.
  • No Hairfall !! yipieeee....
  • There would be more perky boobies than you could count.
  • We'd all get sucked off
  • 1) "But let's ignore the physics and imagine that, one day, the planet's gravity turned off, and suddenly there was no force of gravity on planet Earth. This would turn out to be a pretty bad day. We depend on gravity to hold so many things down -- cars, people, furniture, pencils and papers on your desk, and so on. Everything not stuck in place would suddenly have no reason to stay down, it would start floating. But it's not just furniture and the like that would start to float. Two of the more important things held on the ground by gravity are the atmosphere and the water in the oceans, lakes and rivers. Without gravity, the air in the atmosphere has no reason to hang around, and it would immediately leap into space. This is the problem the moon has -- the moon doesn't have enough gravity to keep an atmosphere around it, so it's in a near vacuum. Without an atmosphere, any living thing would die immediately and anything liquid would boil away into space. In other words, no one would last long if the planet didn't have gravity." "Without gravity, the water in oceans, rivers and lakes would disappear, leaving Earth with no water supply." And it is not even sure that the cohesion of the earth would be enough to keep itself together. But this was just about the gravity of earth. If the gravitational pull of the sun stopped, the earth would leave its orbit and get away from the sun. It could also happen that the sun don't stay together because it does not attract its own matter anymore. All bigger astronomical objects like galaxies and clouds would also no more be kept together and separate. Further information: http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/8167735
  • We would all float away and I wouldnt have to go to work anymore!
  • Um... what is gravitational pull?
  • The gravity is not there because we made it stay,by virtue of many forces that we understand and many that we dont understand, gravity gathers its meaning.so it is even possible that nothing happens and its possible we fly at hundreds of kilometres an hour into the space.but the point is if earth loses its power of gravitation i as a part of nature lose my virtue of gravitational pull too...
