No. Have you ever witnessed a person being electrocuted? Lethal injection is much more humane. Actually, what difference does it make?

Not when I consider some of the crimes that caused a person to warrant getting the lethal injection.

I feel capital punishment is wrong by any method. My reasoning is that in the case of executing a wrong person, no person is held accountable. If a family member would be harmed and I took revenge. It might be justified. However, if I took revenge against the wrong person, I would be required to pay the price. If the government takes revenge against the wrong person, so what. In light of the fact that many people on "Death Row" have had convictions overturned because evidence proves they didn't do the crime, we should not kill them any more.

No as its even better than chopping ones head or by shooting which would be very messy.

No. it the lethal injection is too light for a murderer. Lethal injection isnt cruel enough. Think about it. Maybe you have a kid or a pet. Someone killed your child or pet for no reason. wouldnt you want them to suffer?

No. I think it is easy compared to what they did to others that got them that sentence.

No way. That is the easiest, most peaceful death that I could ever think of. Anyone who is in line to be executed must have killed a person(s) in such a way that they deserved this lethal injection that the justice system has handed down to him or her. They deserve to die and the manner of death will be tame compared to whatever they did to deserve it.

No, is a nice way to die, I mean comparing to how this murderers made their victims go through and the emotional pain of the victim's loved one's.

Depends on the criminal... the victim dies of brutality.. rape and murder and we are concerned about how the criminal dies? It there a death that is less painful than lethal injection? Yes I would say BAN lethal injection and let there be the "noose"... the more painful the better....

I see that the death penalty advocates do not think much of my post. I served nearly two tours in Viet-nam in 1967-69. I KNOW that talking about taking lives is one thing. Actually doing it is quite another. Some criminals should forfeit their lives. But does government have the right to take them ?

Not at all. When it comes to the death penalty however, I think lethal injection is getting off easy. One shot and you fall asleep forever? I think it should be the electric chair or something. If you did something worth being sentenced to death, why should you be let off easy??

I believe that people who have been sentenced to death are there because they committed some horrible atrocity on another human being. I frankly do not care if that injection is cruel. I hope it hurts like a son-of-a-bitch and that their final thought, as that needle in inserted into their vein, is of how much pain and suffering they inflicted on their victim and the pain and suffering that the victim's family and friends endured. I simply have no sympathy for the condemned, but I do ache for their family and friends, because they have suffered as well.

No. The form of punishment is as painless as killing someone is going to get.

No. This should be for milder or more questionalble offenses. Brutal crimes should be rewarded with the same thing done to them that they did to their victims.

From what I've heard it's the most humane way to put someone to death, but I'm against the death penalty so my answer is no, but yes.

If you have done something bad enough to be put to death I don't really care how they do it as long as you die!

No I don't. It is alot less cruel than brutally murdering someone. I personally believe that murderers should be killed in the same manner that they used to kill..Unpopular opinion but it's mine :)

No, but I think that it should not be used. I feel that the punishment should truly fit the crime. If you shoot someone to death, you should be shot to death, if you beat someone you should be beaten...

No. Well at least i don't think so. In my view if you can kill someone while they look at you in fear and ask you not to, or the person is a small kid or a helpless person, you DESERVE to die. Thank shorts that Texas does believe in the death penalty

NO! I think that it is TOO humane. I believe in an eye for an eye. Did the person they murdered have the grace of going to sleep peacefully, or were they subjected to pain & humiliation before they were murdered? They should die in the same manner as the person's whose life they took so soon.

I agree with the people who say to impose the same death sentence the murderer imposed. I might add that if all criteria are met and there is no doubt he or she did it, the death sentence should be carried out immediately. No 10-20 year appeal process. Then it might actually work as a deterrent!

define cruel and unusual punishment first? is that for the killer? or for his many victims that he slowly tortured to death? the question has no relevance in relation to a society that no longer punishes evil. you want some cruel and unusual punishment statistics. millions of babies have been ripped to pieces inside their mothers wombs. this has been going on for more years than I care elaborate on at this time. now tell me if you can, what heinous crime did they commit to warrant that kind of cruel and unusual punishment? no' an evil man can viciously rape and torture to death a small child ,and on the day of his long-awaited execution, some bleeding heart liberal screams foul because this murdering psychopathic monster might feel a little pain. don't make me laugh it's time to make the punishment fit the crime. not only am i for capital punishment, i demand it for convicted killers regardless of their age.

No. I wish I could get one. I couldn't do a crime that would get it for me because I couldn't hurt anyone, but there are those of us who don't understand why you'd put a dog down but make us live through this horrible life we're in.

no. I think it's too humane. I am so sick of hearing how prisoners are getting cruel and unusual punishment. SO WHAT. They didn't think of the cruelty they were doing when they were raping and/or killing/harming their victims but they expect us to give them the best medical care and food and everything. BS. They live like royalty compared to some of us. They get college educations, free health care (do you know how many AMericans would LOVE just to have health care). Plus they get cable, etc and when they get out of prison they get assistance in starting their own business, etc. I think prisons should be made what they are supposed to be HELLISH and prisons. I think we should get rid of lethal injection and go back to firing squad..start at the feet and go up.. much cheaper to
