We get crazy cold and blizzards during the winter (North Dakota). In 1997 we had a major snow storm during Easter and then it quickly melted soon after causing a major flood. The city of Grand Forks (35,000 people) had to be evacuated. I didn't live there then but I live there now. The downtown area looks great now after the cleanup and remodeling. Hopefully it won't happen again.
