Ma cartwright. She could handle all those other idiots. Talk about grit.

MircatThere was no Ma Cartwright.

Hoss...becuase I kind of built like he was. Similar personalities too. No nonsense but kind hearted.
-
Hoss was the boss!
-
Little Joe, because he seemed so sweet and down to earth.
-
Hoss he was like a big teddy bear that was very protective at the same time.

Found this nice write-up about "Bonanza" out at the Museum of Broadcast Communications site: http://www.museum.tv/archives/etv/B/htmlB/bonanza/bonanza.htm -- Learned it was the 2d only to "Gunsmoke" as longest running western on television. -- I see answers here so far mostly for HOSS as favorite (show went downhill after Dan Blocker died IMO) ... then Little Joe. Don't see anyone choosing Adam so far. I liked Hoss best too (solid, steady, sweet but sturdy) .. then Little Joe (good looking but inexperienced .. but with heart in right place) .. and well .. wasn't too thrilled with Adam. (sorry about that! Seemed too uppity for me!) But hey - looking back? Lorne Greene wasn't too shabby either! :)
-
Hoss because he had the kindest, warmest heart.
-
I'm a Little Joe guy myself. I loved everything that Michael Landon did.
-
I liked Hoss, he was like a gentle giant.
-
"Hoss" He was just a big kid, kinda like me!!:)
-
It would have to be a toss up between Hoss and Little Joe because together they could get into more trouble without even trying.
-
Adam. He was the one with the brains.
