many diseases can cause one's hair to fall out. I believe that it is a symptom of a system that is not operating well...or a body not receiving proper nutrition (as in anorexia).

Nice long list of diseases there which is what you asked for. But it could also just be a ferritin deficiency or you may need a hormone adjustment it's best to get your levels checked first before you assume you have a disease.
