If someone uses a word I have never heard of and I fancy it-I will add it to my vocabulary.

...usually hearing a word...It's amazing how small kids can absorb so many words. Lucas is only two (son of a dear friend)...I often say "ehole/ellole"...meaning good grief, etc...now, it has become one of Lucas's expressions! It makes us all laugh! I often learn new words from reading...but it is a riot at times when I am in a conversation & use them out loud for the first time...my pronounciation is always skewed...but usually someone knows how it is pronounced & I learn from that! If i hear or read a word I dont know, I look it up in the dictionary, or ask the person what it means.
