If you are on birth control and dont use condoms, are you protected against getting pregnant, or should you use a condom also? thank for your input...

the pill is 98% effective and the condom is 97% effective against pregnancy......with both your about 99.94% safe......the rest is being shit unlucky......by the way both prtect against pregnancy but NOT against STDs and AIDS.....

Birth control isn't 100 percent effective. There's still a chance you could fall pregnant even though you're on birth control. And i suggest using a condom all the time anyway, you know, with std's and all. Can't be too careful.

It is possible to get pregnant while on the pill...even if taken correctly. It's not very likely, but can happen. If you are really worried or you would like to protect yourself from STD's, then use a condom as well.

Nothing is fail proof, if you really aren't ready for a child I would highly suggest using both to be safer.
