As far as I can see, the law only applies for ladies, so not for all women: "It is illegal for a lady to eat chocolates on a public conveyance." Don't kid yourself about silly laws. A few months ago an woman in her 80's was riding the bus here in Houston and was eating animal crackers because of blood sugar problem. I don't remember if they arrested her or gave her a citation but I do believe that she was put off of the bus by the big bad Metropolitan Transit Authority Policeman fighting terrorism.
