I remember paying $0.89 a gallon many moons ago. What ever happened to that?

Oh yeah, prices of other commodities were much cheaper then too.

I started driving in 1977, gas was under $1 a gallon but there was a shortage. Gas rationing.

I was young, but I remember when it was .27 cents a gallon. My mom would drive all over trying to save 1/10 of a cent...Those were the days..Glad she can't see these prices.

1976 Regular Gas was .26 - .28 cents a gallon, High Octane was in the .32 cent area, and Unleaded was fairly new to the market.

Yes, when we moved to New York state just 4 years ago it was around $1.50-$1.75 depending on the state. And I remember gas at 29-32 cents:-)

Yes last time I was home 3 years ago I was paying $2.22 and there abouts. that was February/March 2005

I can remember when it was $0.35 a gallon. I can remember when it went to $0.54 a gallon and everyone bought Civics or stopped driving because they couldn't afford to fill the tank. I can remember when $8.00 to fill the four wheel drive was more than we could come up with and we only went to town once or twice a month for groceries.
