I need to know how many watts my car amp should have to power two 12", 1200 watt subs.

Well is the RMS power handling of the sub 1200 or is its something far less? If its a cheap sub, I would say its going to be a 400 RMS sub so you're going to need a 800 RMS output amp. If its a decent quality sub, its probably going to be 600 RMS so you're going to need a 1200 RMS amp and ETC. Also, keep in mind your wiring. If you're planning on wiring the entire thing in a 4 ohm setup, you're going to need an amp that has the proper RMS power output at 4 ohms.
