Midwest here, and yes she is a dumbass, rating the second song that wasnt even sang yet, Duh! This is so hard, wah!
-
West coaster here.... spill the dish puh-leeze!! :)
-
Makes me think the whole thing is just a sham with judging already done before the music is even sung. "I was looking at your notes" Huh? Why would he already have notes down for the second song?
-
that was pretty f*cked up! What an idiot! She totally critiqued 2 songs, one of which he hadn't sung yet... AND!!!!!!! Gave it a bad review!!! Haha, that's the best part in my mind. Getting sh*t on for something you hadn't done!

Once I saw her with the index cards, I knew it was all over, lol! She can barely even speak each week, and the producers expected her to read?!?

I did not see it, but "after hearing only one round of performances from the contestants, Abdul claimed to hear one performer sing twice": "Paula Julie Abdul is an American, multi-platinum selling, Grammy Award-winning singer, dancer, television personality, jewelry designer, actress, and Emmy Award-winning choreographer. Married to Emilio Estevez between 1992-1994, she is the former daughter-in-law of actor Martin Sheen. In the 1980s, Abdul rose from being a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers NBA basketball team to being a sought-after choreographer at the height of the music video era, then to being a Pop-R&B singer with a string of hits in the late-1980s and early-1990s. According to Abdul, she has sold over 53 million records to date. After her initial period of success, she suffered a series of setbacks in her professional and personal life, until she found renewed fame and success in the 2000s as a judge on the television series, American Idol. A new album by Abdul is reportedly set to be released in mid-2008." "Substance abuse allegations Substance abuse allegations arose as the result of what some described as "erratic behavior" by Abdul during episodes of American Idol. After reading these allegations on message boards, Abdul told People magazine in April 2005 that she suffered from chronic pain for years following a "cheerleading accident" at age 17 and was diagnosed with reflex sympathetic dystrophy in November 2004. Abdul says she is now pain-free following treatment, including the anti-inflammatory medication Enbrel. Allegations arose again in January 2007 when videos circulated on the Internet of Abdul appearing to sway in her chair and slur her speech during a set of interviews. Abdul's publicist attributed this to fatigue and technical difficulties during the recording of the interviews. It was revealed on the Bravo show Hey Paula, which had followed Abdul with a video camera prior to the interviews, that Abdul had not been sleeping, perhaps suffering from some mild form of insomnia. In February 2007, Abdul told Us Weekly that she had never been drunk or used illegal drugs, and called the allegations "lies." In a March 2007 appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, Abdul joked that her scrutinized behavior was caused by her being "abducted by aliens". Also, Abdul has had problems with drug addiction, as the paparazzi put in an issue of the hit magazine Star for the month of July, 2006. Abdul appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show to "clear the air" on that situation. On American Idol the night of April 29, 2008, after hearing only one round of performances from the contestants, Abdul claimed to hear one performer sing twice." Thank god for DVR's, because we fast forward through Paula's commentary every time. She's totally worthless. Ryan Seacrest (like all the gossip sites are saying) is not the problem with this show. The only opinion that matters is Simon's. Randy's just as bad with his "it was just OK for me's" and "it was a little pitchy, a little rough at first, but you worked it out in the end" crap.

I missed it last night. Was watching Superbad....too funny. Can someone lead me to it on youtube? *************** Never mind, found it. HOLY Moley! I can't believe I missed that. She is so high all the time.
-
I'm an Australian, but I feel as if Paula Abdul is an unsung hero for exposing this public relations sludge for what it really is.
-
LOL!! Yeah, that was really something. I watch AI only because of Simon, you never really know what he is going to say, the others are pretty predictable (until last night..that HAD to be embarrassing for her..unless she was too loaded to care..lol).."check it out, dog", and "you're da bomb" is getting really OLD. All in all I don't put much stock in the show.
-
She's wasted and on a different show....LOST! lol!
-
Yes!! What is going on with her? She is totally starting to loose it!! It was so uncomfortable watching!
-
We thought it was pretty funny.
