I pronounce it bin, but my British boss says bean. I'd say the original pronunciation was bean.
-
I say bin when I am serious, but when I whip out my British accent I say bean.
-
hmmmm. i dont say one or the other! i use both pronunciations. not sure what it should be though! i'd guess bean.
-
Bean. I've just sat trying to say it 'bin' for about ten minutes. It just doesn't feel right.
-
I pronounce it with the American version: bin.
-
I don't know what is "correct" - but I say it more like "ben", not "bin" - but I definitely don't say "bean".
-
Looks like I'm different (nothing new). I pronounce it "ben".
-
I say it as bean
-
I use ben.
-
Down south, it has two syllables, be-in.
-

-

The correct pronouncing is a homophone of 'bean', unequivocally. But American "English" takes the easy way out. To some peeps, the correct rponouncing will sound "affected" when not in context with other British-accented speech. So be it. Spelling reformers, some of them anyway, want to change the spelling to 'bin', but this is absurd, removing the connection to the original 'be'. English pronouncings/speling contain many perversions--such as "proNUNciation". I say: the hell with "tradition" and whenever possible is accordance with your "comfort "create tiny reforms in both speling and pronouncing.

Depends. There's no correct pronounciation, it just differs by country. I'm from Toronto, and I pronounce it "bin", just like I pronounce again "agin" instead of "a-gain", while a LOT of my friends pronounce it "bean" and "a-gain". There's no right or wrong way, just depends on the region.

I say bean.
-
I say it like bean
-
bean
-
I pronounce it ben.
-
I say ben.

I say Bin. It seems depending if you were raised in a rural area though things change... creek becomes crick, chimney becomes chimley (go figure that one) spanking becomes splanking (that one too) some people wash and some worsh.... LOL...

I say 'bean'. I think 'bin' is just representative of the bastardisation of the English language. I'm from Australia btw. I suppose there would be some people who say 'bin' here but you'd never want to pronounce it that way in formal situations.
