I felt it. I live in Southern Illinois. I think it's a big deal because we aren't used to earthquakes around here. People in Cali have an earthquake like 20x more a year than we do. It was creepy and I've decided I really don't like earthquakes. lol

yes........When I was in Japan I was able to experience a 5.0 Let me tell you why it was scary: One thing we have that we feel safe about is the ground.......When that starts to go...it's a very scary feeling. A cool place to be in an EQ is in a grocery store....you can see the direction of the shockwave as you see all the food move.

Yes, we were conveniently talking about lateral quake induced loads in my building structures classes and the subject came up about the quake this morning and how the codes for the Great Lakes reggion will likely be changing due to the slight increase in seismic activity in the region.
