  • If it is what you want then who cares what other people think...it's your body right!! :) I love tats as well, I have been wanting another one.
  • I'm not Chinese but I'm getting kanji symbols on my back on April 24th. The whole point is, the tattoo you choose MEANS something to you, regardless what the meaning is, it's all about what you interpret from it. Good luck with the tat!
  • 2 ways of seeing it: It's your body and you can do whatever you want to it. You don't ever have to appease any one else in your choice of tattoo. Cultural misappropriation, however, is terribly offensive to some. Usually this term is reserved for things that are obviously not shared with the outside world, like maori facial tattoos. But some people feel that any tattoo that represents something cultural on a person that's outside of that culture is disrespectful, including westerners with kanji and hanzi, non-religious people with religious tattoos, even down to westerners with Asian instead of European dragons. Personally, I still think that you can love a symbol for your own reason, regardless of the symbol's origins or accepted meaning. As I said, it's your body and you don't have to explain how you choose to appear.
  • Christians do not hold the patent of crosses. You can get any tattoo on your body that you want. Don't let anyone talk you out of it.
  • well, if I'm wrong about the whole god business, maybe a tatoo of a cross is a good idea so you can fake it when you get up to St. Peter.
  • if it means something to you GO FOR IT!
  • I'm that that religious either, but I think some cross tattoos are cool. Get what you want, don't let other people choose for you. Your the one thats gonna have to live with it for the rest of your life, not them, so other people should not even worry about it.
