if it's real travel not tourism with giant crowds. seeing things people avoid and really seeing other cultures and meeting new people. hitchhiking and couchsurfing. seeing a place the way the locals do.

Sort of yes, and sort of no ... I like BEING in different places all over the world and have been to 28 countries ... but the hassle of getting past security issues has made TRAVEL itself somewhat unpleasant for me.

I love to travel and recently joined a travel club that lets me travel at wholesale prices. I went to Thailand in Nov. and loved it, except for fact that I fractured my foot on the 3rd day and was in crutches, on a cast and in a wheel chair.

No, I hate travel. I think it stems back to always getting carsick when the family went on summer vacations. Also I never sleep well on the road in a strange bed in a strange place.

I've done everything from staying in the most luxurious resort in Hawaii to sleeping in my trunk and I love it all.

If your talking about the actual travel part (airplane, car, etc.) not a big of it. However, If I could drop everything right now with no worries of money or obligations I would travel the world for at least a year. There is no book or picture that can give you the feeling of what you feel when you step foot into an unfamiliar city or country. The expereinces that you will have and the people that you will meet are unpredictable. The depth of culture that you can soak up and the ability to open your eyes to different ways of living. It is the best thing any person can do is try and travel as much as possible. I am not just talking about resorts eithers, truely traveling for the sake of learning.

I do, but I don't do it nearly enough. Sometimes I feel like selling everything I own and use the money to go anywhere, randomly choose a bus or airplane and get as far as I can until I run out of money. I did that before and it's like the biggest adventure ever.

Yes. Travel is a great way to broaden your perspective on yourself and the world. It also tests you in that it can cause unforeseen challenges. It is wonderful to explore new places. I've also heard that traveling to a new place puts new memory wrinkles in your brain.

I've always loved to travel and if it were the last thing that I can do i'd gladly abide by my feet where it leads me.
