Your cat likes the smell. .

Your cat is licking the natural body salts excreted by human sweat glands. These salts contain vital mineral salts for all living creatures to function. It is normal behavior for an animal. If it disgusts you and you want your cat to stop doing this, there are certain mineral supplements you can buy for your puss. Any pet store sells these vital mineral salts, or you can sprinkle just a little on kittys food. Goodluck.

I think it has something to do with trying to get minerals/vitamins they have a tough time finding naturally.I think it's the smell thing too. My dog licks my skid marks if I leave the underwear on the floor....I know, it's gross, but true.

Just likes the smell. Mine likes to lick stinky sandals. My last cat enjoyed adhesive tape and shopping bags.
