at home: Hello. at work: Good morning/afternoon. ___ ________ Real Estate.
-
I normally say Hi this is Jess
-
I pick it up and press the "Call" button.
-
Hello, is this the person with whom I'm speaking?
-
Work: ___ & ___ _____, this is C___. How may I help you? Home: Hello?
-
Just a plain old "Hello".
-
It really depends on what it asks me!
-
depends on who's calling and what mood i'm in. i used to mess with my supervisor. if i was home sick from work and he called, i'd answer the phone and say "resolutions desk." a few times he said sorry and hung up because he thought he accidentally dialed a different division in the building. then he'd call back a few minutes later and be all "wtf."
-
"Hay hay hay"
-
most of the time with friends i just say "hey, what goes on" but if im in a bad mood or something has just happened, I bypass the "hello's" entirely and just say whatever I need to like, "ok, my child is driving me nuts" if its a number i dont know or (shock, horror!) its a private number calling, I say "hello?" .. tone of voice entirely depends on my mood though!
-
If at home I say Roberts' residence, if at work I say Good morning, or Good afternoon and the company name.
-
As I lived in France, I usually said: "Allo, qui est à l'appareil?" meaning "Hello [approximately], who is on the device [the phone at the other end]?) So do people in France, usually. Since I live in Germany, I just mention my name, or first my Company's name before my name, when at work. And then I ask who is there. ("Wer ist das?" or "Wer sind Sie?" or "Wer ist am Apparat?") So do people in Germany, usually. In the last years, it has become somewhat different, because now there is often a caller number display on my phone, and sometimes a caller name, if it is registred in the phone. In this last case, I first tell the caller that I know that it is them calling.
-
I look at the caller ID on my cell phone and if I don't know who it is I aggressively ask 'Who is it?' since I never give my number out to anyone except for friends and family or for work. I get instant control of the conversation since I either put the other person on the defensive or I break into conversation with an identified person with a custom greeting.
-
Hello unless I am near the caller ID. Then I answer with something they would think is funny. If my sister called I would say 'What's shakin' bacon" and so on.
-
Hello? (Said with a certain amount of dread because I am almost always mistaken for other members of the family.)
-
I say "Hello, good morning/afternoon/evening, whom may I say is calling?"
-
bueno? or i say yo like joey lawrence
-
Usually with my full name.
-
At work: Company name Good morning, or Good afernoon at home Gibson's residence.
-
Most of the time I say "hello". If it's a cousin or somebody I'd mess with (sister, etc.) I'll answer it with "what do you want?" hehe. They laugh every time.
-
jaundice? instead of yello?. sorry non-medical peoples
-
I'll say Hello or good morning if I'm at work. If I'm at home and it's someone I know I'll say Hey but long and drawn out like Heeeeeyyyyy. I used to say Yaaalooooow? (A combination of Yeah and Hello? with my voice starting really low and then going high at the end. I don't do this much anymore.
-
Hello.....
-
I say hello, and our name.
-
Yo
-
it depends on who's calling...if i don't know who it is, then i just say "hello"...but with other people it depends
-
It depends whose calling. If it's a friend I say, "What's up _____"? If it's my boss calling because I didn't show up for work, I slowly say, "Hello" in my groggy sick voice, followed up with a throat clearing cough...
-
"hello" I know boring, sorry!!!!
-
At work Hello _____ ____ Cemetery may I help? At home Hello and if I recognize voice continue normal other wise its "may I ask who's calling please?" no name I hang up, they start in trying to sell me something, I tell them , don't want what you have, and don't call back, and hang up. And there's the times I forget and answer as If I'm at work and the poor folks on other end hang up really fast, Hmmm wonder what they think....
