Which dog is better a maltese or yorkie and why?

I think each breed had their own great characteristics, and it comes down to personal choice. But, personally, I like the maltese. Mainly because I haven't had good experiences with yorkies. They are lovely dogs, they just don't always have the best temperament. :D

I think yorkies are very active, because they are terriers. I believe maltese are a little more mellow. Why don't you go to a breeder and observe the dogs, you can tell a lot about them from observation.

i believe they are both good depending on your families lifestyle. they are both small and both don't require a large amount of excersise however they both have health issues of their own. being small dogs they both suffer from high or low blood sugar so that is why i choose big dogs lol. but anyway, i myself believes yorkies are better dogs and have greater personalities but again it all depends on your personality too.:) hope this helps!!
