Be happy you have a man in your life for the past 3 years. Many people are divorced, widowed or unhappily single and would trade places with you in a heartbeat.
-

I got nothing also...but I'm a guy. I'd say have a friend of yours/his casually ask if he got you anything for V-day. When he says no, then they can harass him for not doing his duty. If the guy doesn't show remorse about this then I'd say he isn't a very loving person. I mean come on. When every other woman on the civilized planet is getting a gift but you, he SHOULD feel guilty. Does he do this on other holidays too? If so, maybe he isn't worth it. Love doesn't have to be materialistic, but it needs to be demonstrated outwardly somehow.

I got hugs and kisses, sweet phone calls during the day, two nice cards(one funny, one serious,)4 huge organic chocolate bars, and 6 long-stemmed pink roses with baby's breath and greenery. All that from hubby. We also got phone calls and cards from my parents and my in-laws. We had a lovely dinner and evening together. I made all his favorites for dinner, and I made him dark chocolate Grand Marnier truffles.

Try being honest with him and telling him how you feel...but not in an accusing way if possible. You have a right to let him know what you expect from the relationship.
-
I didn't get anything either. I got him a dozen yellow roses, box of candy and a nice card. This year was a very strange Valentine's Day for us.
-
I got squat but next year will be my year, lol

I got a Valentine from a very good friend since high school, Valentine's, flowers and candy and a surprise visit from my grandaughters! I feel so very lucky!

-
Wow. 3 years. And you get nothing. I guess he is trying to tell you something, I'm afraid. I mean...wow.
-
could get worse. my EX husband of 18 years..before we ever got married brought me a HUGE valentine box of candy (the ONLY thing i ever got from him on VD) ALONG WITH a dear john letter, loved me but needed to be single...ripped my heart out..but i just said see ya, and it was hard..but a week later we got back together..hindsight, I can't say I really regret that because I did love him and I love my 2 kids..i do wish I'd payed more attention to "him showing his true colors". maybe my heart would not of CONTINUED to be "ripped apart" for so long!

last year we had a big ice storm here in ny and i found the time to buy a card and candy. my husband opened that day (4am to 2pm). when i got home from my 9-5 he was passed out asleep with nothing for me. didn't wake up till about 8pm. this year i asked him if we would do v-day because of the huge disappointment last year; i didn't want to get something and not have it reciprocated. he assured me we were. i got flowers delivered and a card from him. let your bf know how disappointed you are and remind him next year about your feelings. i don't think v-day should be another expensive gift giving holidays but just a card would be nice, something acknowledging the day.

Join the club...me too :(
-
Question-Did you get him something? I think it's really unfair how the guy is always expected to get the girl something and not the other way around as well. But hey I guess I would feel the same way if I was with someone :( And reading all those answers where people got lovely presents didn't help!
-

I got a Happy Valentine's text message from him. But he addressed it to all the "ladies" in his life... ...his mom, his sister, and his daughter, and me. Hmm. I guess I should feel good that he's including me in that elite group?

There's a lot of people feeling the same way right now. Just curious, did you get him one? if so what did he say? Anyway, sorry he didn't get you a card. Why don't some guys see the romance in things?
-

That sucks but you have to tell guys what makes you happy. Let him know he hurt your feelings and next year I bet he'll do better.
-
she gave me a simple but symbolic gift. a locked safe that had an engraved (in her native language) "key to her heart" P.S.- is he good to you the rest of the year? if so, don't make a big deal out of a construct made by greeting card companies to pressure people into buying crap.
-
Then you should make sure that next Valentines Day you are with someone who will appreciate you and not have a problem showing it. I am sorry. The fact he did not do anything says more about him than it does about you. You deserve better. Good luck.
