Pre Care & Aftercare These are things that should be done by yourself before and after a treatment. These can also be found listed with each treatment. Aftercare - Facials Do not undertake any other facial skincare treatments within 48 hours of having a Facial Stay away from direct sunlight/sunbeds and heat e.g. saunas for 48 hours after having a Facial Do not apply any other exfoliating skincare products for 72 hours after having a Facial Keep make-up and other skincare products to a minimum for 24 hours after having a Facial For long term results use the prescribed products for home care and book in for treatments monthly. Always use an SPF. Waxing Do not undertake any other skincare treatments within 48 hours of having a waxing treatment Stay away from direct sunlight/sunbeds and heat e.g. saunas for 48 hours after having a waxing treatment Keep skincare products to a minimum for 24 hours after waxing For long term improvements book in for regular treatments and do not shave between treatments For in growing hairs use an exfoliator or the Ingrow Go product – both available from The Priory Massage, Wraps, Back Therapy Treatment, Massage & Facial Combinations (see also Facials) Touch Therapies, Stone Therapy Avoid alcohol and heavy meals for 24 hours after treatment Do not operate heavy machinery for 24 hours after treatment Do not undertake any other body treatments for 48 hours after treatment Stay away from direct sunlight/sunbeds and heat e.g. saunas for 48 hours after treatment Keep skincare products to a minimum for 24 hours after treatment Stay relaxed and keep warm for 12 hours after treatment For long term results book in for regular treatments and use the home care products prescribed as well as an SPF Acupuncture, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Medical Aesthetics, Tooth Whitening Aftercare advise will be given to you by the consultant Manicures, Pedicures & Nail Extensions Leave adequate time after your treatment to allow your nails to dry before leaving the salon For pedicures wear open toe shoes if possible To prolong the life of your vanish wear gloves to perform any household or work related chores Sunbeds Do not sunbathe or use another sunbed for 48 hours after a tanning session at the priory – never burn Keep your skin well moisturised to prolong the life of the tan Hair Cut & Colour For best results use the salon styling products for home care & book in for regular cuts every 6 – 8 weeks To look after & prolong the life of your colour use shampoos and conditioners for coloured hair – Paul Mitchel and Loreal versions of these are available from the priory If your hair is showing signs of being damaged or dry you can use an intensive hair mask at home – Paul Mitchel and Loreal versions of these are available from The Priory or alternatively book a deep conditioning treatment with your cut and blow dry Intense Pulsed Light; Permanent Hair Removal Avoid direct sunlight/sunbathing/sunbeds whilst having IPL treatments Do not use any other form of hair removal except shaving during your treatment programme Use an SPF factor 30+ to protect the area being treated Do not use false tanning products for two weeks either side of treatments Keep the area free from all products except Aloe Vera for 24 hours after treatment Do not have any other treatments done on the same area without gaining consent from your therapist Avoid heat e.g. hot baths etc for 48 hours after treatment Consult the priory for any further advise required Intense Pulsed Light; Skin Rejuvenation Avoid direct sunlight/sunbathing/sunbeds whilst having IPL treatments Use an SPF factor 30+ to protect the area being treated Do not use false tanning products for two weeks either side of treatments Keep the area free from all products except Aloe Vera for 24 hours after treatment Do not have any other treatments done on the same area without gaining consent from your therapist Avoid heat e.g. hot baths etc for 48 hours after treatment Consult the priory for any further advise required

im stuck on exactly the same thing i know the aftercare bit but what advice do u need to give to a client as t wat to do before the service i have onli got one answer at the mo n tht is make sure u have a skin test done 24-48 hours prior to service hope it helps a bit lol probs wont help alot but if i find anything else ill let ya kno x
