No but I assume yours does. You need to put your cat in another room apparently so this doesn't happen again.
-
My cat has a little bell on his collar.. He wakes me up running around the room at night, it's when he's the most energized. My other cat pushes my door open so my hallway light shines in my eyes, and comes in and meows at me until I wake up.
-
If i had a cat and it did that I would show the cat the meaning of low earth orbit.
-
My kitten is a few months old and has an obsession with my oldest daughter.. she tells me daily that he jumps on her belly in the middle of the might and tries to wake her up... My husband gets upset with the kitty becasue he plays with EVERYTHING and makes lots of noise!
-
yes, she does. It is ok though since i am up at five anyway.
-
He wakes up at 5 A.M. because that's the time I wake up. If I try to sleep later, he paws at my face to wake me up.
-
Nope, I have an extremely lazy cat who sleeps right through till about 9. She then gets up, wanders around and goes back to sleep. I tried to encourage her to play with the wrapping paper this morning but she refused.
-
Yes both of them do. Cats are nocturnal. They spend a majority of their time awake during the night. So it is common for them to do this. It is actually normal for them to do this.
-
We have five cats, so there's always 1 or 2 of them that will wake me up during the night. Usually, it's a lot earlier than 5am, too!
-
Yes every day and if I don't wake up he'll sit in the chair next to my bed .Then cry and cry until I put him out of my room . Yet when I do that he thinks oh mama wants to play . So he runs into my door until I wake up again and again .His name is Liger and he fits the name too !
-
LoL, my cat purrs around my head and body at 5am EVERY morning. If I still don't wake, she starts nibbling my fingers.
-
Yes, I love being used as a trampoline at 3am.
-
Yes, that is why I am here now. He takes a mouthful of my hair and pulls his head back to pull my hair until I wake up. He thinks he needs to eat breakfast in the middle of the blooming night. Argh.
-
Cats opening doors that is crazy, my cat doesn't wake me up that much she only did that when my mom let her out of the room she keeps her in,but now she keeps her in the kitchen,I wish she would let her in, but my mom isn't exactly a pet lover poor Sushi (that is her name). She only woke me up once by sitting on my head and tickling my nose till i wake up, i almost sneezed.
-
Just always feed them in the afternoon, NOT in the the morning. Our cats used to leap on the bed at earlier and earlier times. We were feeding them before going to work and they decided we should start going ealier (LOL!). Now, we only feed them at lunch time or after work. MUCH LESS STRESSFUL. and...peaceful night's sleep with natural wake ups!
-
It's OK though ... my usual wake up time. Smokey does 'daddy' a favor.
-
try 2 am, he typically jumps on my dresser and knock crap down.
-
My mog seems to be very kind. She sleeps in the WHOLE of my queen size bed until about 6am, then she wakes me by a wet nose in my eye (just to make sure I am awake too). Trying to move her is impossible throughout the night so I just have to deal with what ever position she finds comfortable.... usually its diagonal on the bed on her back with all her legs spread.
-
Yes but earlier. She does it by clawing my toes >:(
-
My cat wakes me and my partner up most mornings. Usually its by laying on top of us, tickling our faces with her whiskers or licking our noses and nudging us in the face until we wake up. We dont mind though most of the time, its a lovely way to be woken up by our little angel. :-)
-
my dog does..

nhhh

Every morning at 6 without fail.... We found that we got ZERO sleep if we let them come into the bedroom at night so we started shutting them out... Now at around 6 they meow and scratch at our bedroom door until we let them in and give them a cuddle... big softies!!! Just as well they are cute! lol!
-
It's too scared of me and my hands....
-
4:42 AM!!!! Like clockwork!!! The little scamp!
-
Nah, I don't let her in my room.
-
yes same to me, but happens that i'm awake too so she comes and pushes her head toward my hand awww, how kitty cute. other times just jumps on my feets and begins to play with them, or just reaches up to the head and she's likely to lick/bite my nose, this when i'm aspleep. ...sometimes wants me to clean her place sometimes... hehe, damn. they're nocturnal, so it's normal... gotta cope with it, meow meow
-
haha. he purrs alot usually but early hours of the morning he sounds like a machine gun. BRRRR BRRRR also licks my eyes to wake me up. sometimes i wish he'd settle until i get up but hes spoilt and knows im at his command lol!
-
5 AM! That's ridiculous. My cat wakes me at 4:30am everyday.
-
Haha. That reminds me of when MY cat used to do that. As a kitten, he found it very... fun to bite my toes at three AM. Or pounce on my head. Or grab my arms. I laugh at it now though, since I lock him in my arms until he falls asleep. Also, my cat whines until I let him out. And if he's already out, he will whine until I open the door. Then dart away. Repeat this step until I get angry enough to run after him and drag him back into my room. xD
-
there is an easy way to stop your cat from wakeing you up.this behaviour i also known as the 'early bird'.if your cat goes outside regularly you shold keep at least one litter tray with fresh cat litter in the house.but if this is not solving the problem try to feed you cat at the same time each day, this will make your cat know when he will get his meal, and feel more 'organised' always make sure your cat has fresh water in his bowl.
-
Different times.I think I sleep through it until they start styling my hair. One of them will lay on my husband's chest and stare into his face.We have locked them out of the room, but they cry and I feel sorry for them,so in they come.

+3 for you, good question, and my answer is YES! I have had my "babies" for just over a year, and I have not had a full nights sleep in just over a year. LOL. My one male cat is my "baby" and like clockwork between 3-4 am he wants affection. Me pet him, him knead on me,... for about 15-20 min, and then again between 6:30-7:00am it starts AGAIN, granted THAT is the time I give them their can of food! (even though they have dry food) so I will get up give the can, and about 5-10 min. later, he is back in bed with me vying for my attention, when I trying to get my last couple seconds of precious sleep. LOL Cats- got to love them! Hahaha, and I do!! ;-)
-
Yes one of mine will meow and meow and meow until you get up and feed him EVEN IF HE HAS FOOD! Around 6am. On Sundays he found it doesnt get him anything to meow that early so he'll start at like 8am on and meow and jump up the way and nudge the closed doors and just make a bunch of noise!! Anything to get me up to feed him. Lol
-
Yes, It sounds like she is crying and then I say Boo come see Mommy and she hops on my belly in bed. But I think she wants to play. Too late at night.
-
Yes for some reason she goes under the bed and has a fight with it!!
-
my cat has a big food bowl and can eat whenveer she wants...so she istn waking me up at 5am to eat. she also has plenty of water and her litter is fine... putting her in another room just causes her to meow louder... it sounds like we all have the same issue, but does anyone actually have a solution???
-
She does. It's her affection time of the day.
-
yes, he does, but usually it's when my boyfriend is here. we go to bed around ten but from midnight on he runs in and out of the room, jumping up onto his window hammock and then back down. he has recently starting banging on the closet doors (which makes a very loud noise that wakes us up). i have resorted to putting him in his carrier in the spare room once he starts the banging...it's the only to get back to sleep... and keep my boyfriend sane. lol if its just me alone he typically stays quiet until around 5am which is my usual time to get up...but on weekends he starts crying by 5ish to wake me...
