I have a severe case of depression and anxiety the doctors cant help.They give me a year what should I do

If you have any doctor who gives you a year then tells you it's hopeless, you need to be seeing someone else. See another psychologist, another psychiatrist until you get some help. Even the severest cases of depression can be treated.

If you are depressed check out Depressiontribe.com I was impressed. Talk to your doctor some more, see what else can be done.

Try to form more support from the people around you and develop ways to increase income.

It's great to have lots of support and help, but at the end of the day, the only one who can really help is you yourself. If you're seriously depressed I definitely recommend talking to a doctor about getting onto antidepressants, but that's just the first step. After that, the most important thing is for you to find something in your life to be happy about and to look forward to. You need to decide what you want your life to be like, and start moving towards that. Because no-one is going to do it for you. Good luck :)

hey I cant believe the doctors have given up on you and set a time scale! Thats awful. Ive been on anti-depressents for nearly three months and the change in my mood and attitude to life has already changed. Ive also been seeing a community psychiatric nurse and she has been fab, she reccommended a site called www.livinglifetothefull.com it has really helped me see things differently i strongly reccomend you use it and you know if you ever need to talk me and the other abaggers are always here!

How do they give you a year, I had a serious case of anxiety and depression at one point too, medication wasn't clicking, but they never set a time frame, you don't die....are you being serious?

See some one else as that or those doctors do not know what they are talking about.
