It gets harder and harder each year as Corporate America desperately tries to boost year-end revenue by extending the Christmas buying season earlier and earlier. In my part of the US, some chain stores were putting out Christmas decorations and trees the first week in September!

On my birthday which is December 5. Or you could say on December 26 for the following year cause that is when I start buying for next year's Christmas.

I feel the Christmas spirt all year long. In our family, Christmas is usually about arguing and getting ticked off at everyone else! Holidays are so much fun here! lol

I like the festivity of Christmas, but those feelings have disappeared many years ago.
-
I am sad to say that since I have moved out on my own, and not had the financial backing to get decent gifts for everyone on my list, the "christmas spirit" escapes me.
-
Since I don't have children at home anymore it doesn't start until after Thanksgiving. I still decorate the house from top to bottom and front to back though. My husband just shakes his head. It's a Wonderful Life and Christmas Vacation are required viewing. ;o)
-
When I hear my mom yelling at my dad to put the Christmas lights up, and then my dad saying that he's busy, then my mom saying that he said that last time, then my dad saying he didn't. That is just how my Christmas Spirit starts.

It depends every year. This year hasn't been so swell in terms of family relationships, hence I am not feeling the Xmas spirit at all, and it's only a couple sleeps to go. (Well for me it is, because we celebrate Christmas mostly on Xmas eve. We look at lights, do carols, and open presents on Xmas eve, and leave some for Xmas day).
-
At the start of December. It is when I start making my Christmas preparations.
-
the smell of pine does the trick..but with my paper tree it takes a lot now days to get me a real christmassy feeling..listening to carols helps

I don't. I don't like all the hype to get people to spend spend spend! Greed! Children seldom or have no idea what the true meaning for this holiday is for. They think of it only as a time to get presents. They see a nativity scene and it has no real meaning to them. Children go with their parents to Christmas Eve services who never see the inside of a church for the rest of the year. So why should I have a Christmas spirit? I love Yeshua but not the hype frenzy of Xmas.
