As noted already, the conventional computer notation used for memory is 1024 = 1 Kilobyte (KB) 1024 KB = 1 Megabyte (MB) 1024 MB = 1 Gigabyte (GB) 1024 GB = 1 Terabyte (TB) HOWEVER... Disk storage is almost always described in decimal 1MB = 1,000,000 bytes 1GB = 1000 MB As you get larger the difference becomes more significant. At 1 Terabyte decimal measurment is almost 10% less than binary.
