It's tough to choose just one. I'll go with I Don't Know How to Love Him from Jesus Christ Superstar.
-
I think of all the really beautiful songs and there are thousands one of the best must be 'Don't Cry for me Argentina' from Evita.
-
"Springtime for Hitler" from The Producers
-
WOW. I've never been to either, I have to start doing things
-

There are so many, it's hard to chose! Almost anything Andrew Lloyd Weber. But, as I finally saw "Wicked" this past weekend, my current "favorite" is "Defying Gravity." That song, not to mention that scene, gave me chills! It's fantastic!
-
Singin' in the Rain
-
"Miracle of Miracles" and "Sunrise, Sunset" from Fiddler on the Roof. I love everything on that soundtrack, but those two make me cry every time I hear them.
-
I personally thought that The Music of The Night from Phantom of the Opera was dazzling. But I suppose it would depend on one's personal tastes :)
-
From an opera, Nessun Dorma from Turandot. From a Musical, The Time Warp from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
-
I agree with the ABers here, there are so many to choose from...hmmm...one that I can listen to over and over and still feel that tug is The Pearl Fishers duet
-
"Bitch Of Living" from Spring Awakening
-
"popular" from the musical Wicked, is my favorite.

I am a fan of the old musicals, so I cannot pick one, but here are my top five: 1) Singin' in the Rain - Gene Kelly 2) The Egg - 1776 3) Sunrise Sunset - Fiddler on the Roof 4) Make 'em laugh - Donald O'Connor, Singin in the Rain 5) Ya Got Trouble - Robert Preston in the Music Man

-
"So In Love" From Kiss me Kate. I think it portrays love perfectly.
-
"Master of the House" from Les Miserables
-
Tango Maurine from RENT. It was the first musical song I'd ever memorized. Its just so catchy.
-
Gee, must we choose one? I would say: ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER. hehe. Evita (although, the movie version with Madonna was dogawful!) The phantom, of course. I think my favourite favourite, however, is the sad song: "Empty Chairs at Empty tables" from Les Miserables. Can't say why, exactly. It is just an incredibly beautiful song. I have heard Geshwin's "Summertime" (from Porgy and Bess) performed in four part harmony with the blues colour and depth in the voices. Gave me goosebumps. Although, I have heard it ruined as well... I guess those are my favourites.
-
"I'm gonna wash that man right out of my hair" from South Pacific
-
Dream Girls: And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going & I Am Changing by Jennifer Holliday Absolutely amazing!!!
-
I am what I am from Le cage aux folles
-
America - West Side Story You're The One That I Want - Grease Pinball Wizard - Tommy
-
"A Little Priest" from Sweeney Todd... And NOT the recent film which I didn't like at all. Sad, they took a comedy (OK, a black comedy, but Comedy..) and turned it into a mediocre horror flick.
-
If Ever I Should Leave You from Camelot.
-
I like "Take me or leave me" from rent!

My favourite songs change constantly! For musical theatre, I currently adore: "Unworthy of Your Love" from Assassins "Les Temps des Cathédrales" from Notre Dame de Paris "The Miller's Son" from A Little Night Music "Moonfall" from The Mystery of Edwin Drood I'm not as well versed in opera (though I'm working on it!), but right now, I love: "Voi, che sapete" from Le Nozze di Figaro "Ein Mädchen oder Weibchen" from Die Zauberflöte "Quando m'en vo (Musetta's Waltz)" from La Bohème "Ah! Je ris de me voir si belle (The Jewel Song)" from Faust

holy cow I can tell by the answers so far that this is a YOUNG crowd,,,,,,,lol. well, I'm an 'old timer' and my all time fave musical is GUYS AND DOLLS.........LOVE just about every song in it......and the excitement and energy of the cast and story. Saw the B'way revival of it in the 1990's, love it, of course, and have that cast recording as well as the original 1949 cast recording, AND THE MOVIE soundtrack; sad to say, Sinatra, being under contract to Capitol records, was NOT ALLOWED to appear on the soundtrack, so only a few songs were released on a 45 EP.......(extended play; vinyl as you call it today!!!!) BUT THAT HAD THE EXCITING thing that Marlon Brando and Jean Simmons DID THEIR OWN SINGING....... SO EVEN though it wasn't the whole soundtrack, it was still fun to have. and now I'll shut up about it. OH I did get to meet Vivian Blaine, the original "Adelaide" in the 1949 production..........again I"ll stop now and forgive me for gushing about this! LOL :-D
