Yes. http://youtube.com/watch?v=dkbkkkT6ejA This is a report with some proof.
-
i think all psychics are frauds. they lie to vulnerable people and take money from them
-
I think she's a very cleverly packaged con artist, preying on vulnerable people. I have to change the channel if she's on the show.
-
Sylvia Brown has been proven wrong several times, and she tends to change her answers when the person she's "reading" says she's wrong. And when people ask her about ailments, her answer is always "fibromyalgia" (sp?). How she always waves her hand and says "I knew that" drives me nuts. I wouldn't say she definately isn't psychic, I certainly believe that people can be, but I do believe that she quite often makes things up when she's not getting anything, or she has no idea how to interpret what she gets. I do like to believe what she says about "the other side". It sounds like a wonderful place, and that's where I'd like to think I'll go when I leave here.
-
All psychics are fake. Plain and simple.
-
Absolutely.
-
Well, she claimed on Larry King that she would allow James Randi to evaluate her PSYCHIC SKILZ with a panel of experts but 6 years later has yet to take up the challenge. http://www.randi.org/sylvia/index.shtml She has been proven wrong on many occassions - most recently, she claimed that the West Virginia miners would all be rescued alive from the mine collapse. Instead, they all died. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,180681,00.html

I think that she can put on a good show but she has no psychic ability. My friend's cat has more ability than she does. I don't believe a word she says. There are genuine psychics out there, but they are few and far between. I think that the real ones don't put themselves out in the limelight.
-
I'm not sure...I do know that I don't like that show when she is on there though! LOL
-
I think that pretty much any psychic who is on tv or making money from it is a fraud. While I am a skeptic about most psychic stuff, the ones helping polic solve crimes might be at least somewhat legit, and others who do not profit from it might be as well. If you ever had a palm reader offer a reading for free, then I might be more willing to listen than someone making me pay for the "service".
-
I don't know her or have ever seen her. Some Psychics are frauds but it is a very big generalization and mistake to think that all psychics are frauds. That makes no sense to put everyone in a basket, and say they are all the same.I have met many that are genuine psychics and are not the ones on TV shows. In fact they are quite shy and quiet about it because of the negative feeling of people against them.
-
Yes, and she preys on the ignorant and innocent.
-
I'm not sure if she's a fraud or not. I know that she "appears" to get a lot of information "close to right" but never quite seems to be "exact". But then again, I don't know if that's how it just works. Part of me thinks it's all bogus and another part of me things it's possible. What a wishy-washy answer I just gave! I guess I just haven't come to a "final" decision yet!
-
I don't dismiss psychic phenomenon off-the-bat... However, the fact that psychics either: A) REFUSE to endure an objective, thorough testing of their abilities or B) Admit to testing and get a complete negative result EVERY TIME 'Speaks volumes about the possible validity of it - it would appear, as far as our current evidence says, that psychics are little more than illusionists and skilled manipulators of people.
-
She is a looney tune and makes herself to be something she will never be.
-
she's such a fraud, anyone can guess what she guesses if they just read the news and medical journals enough.
-
She's a loser, with millions of dollars. Go figure.
-
Some frauds claim to be psychics. But does that mean all people who call themselves psychics are frauds? I believe in Sylvia. She is an awesome lady.
-
Sylvia Brown is a showman and money maker of the highest caliber. She has national television to advertise her books and probably is on the show for a limited salary, because of this. Sylvia Brown, i believe, is only accurate in her predictions 60% of the time. Thats really pretty good, unless she predicts your future and it bombs. that leaves 40$ to pure speculation. People believe in her and the shows ratings are extremely high, because of her. Believing in Sylvia Brown is like believing in a magician. The act really improves, the more you practice.
-
Don't even get me started on Sylvia Brown.......She's such a fraud....
-
Personally, I believe that although many alleged "Psychics" are frauds, Sylvia Brown is not among them. The big mistake that people often make when they say that all psychics are frauds because they've proven a psychic wrong is in making the assumption that just because they claim to be psychic, they're also claiming to be omniscient and infallible. The fact of the matter is, its just as possible to be mistaken based on input from your sixth sense as it is with the other five. That being said, I also think highly publicized professional psychics like Sylvia Brown, who try to turn their psychic abilities into a career, only add to people making the false assumptions about psychics that they do. A person can't make much money as a professional psychic unless they claim (Or at least strongly imply) to be infallible or very close to it. And whether or not they genuinely possess any psychic abilities, they're not.

YES! There is a website dedicated to stopping her called Stop Sylvia Browne. She has not only fabricated her psychic ability but, she has also done horrifying things to people by keeping up this lie. She does it for the money and so does Montel because he knows she is a fraud. http://www.stopsylviabrowne.com/ She has hurt people! Remember that kid that was kidnapped years ago ago as a little boy and he turned up not long ago and a man had kidnapped him and molested him for years until he was a teen? Forgive me for forgetting his name, anyway he was found alive and kidnapped by a child molester. Well, when the he first went missing Miss Browne told his family on the Montel show (you can watch the clip on the site) that he was dead. So, the thought he was dead. Turns out he was kidnapped and being molested for many years from a young boy to a teen. I think Sylvia Browne is an evil witch! She deserves bad things treating people that way! Her ex husband claims (I'm paraphrasing here) she said that if people are so stupid they deserve to be took! WITCH! And Mr. "Sincere" FOS Montel is in on the scheme as well. So sad. :(
-
i know for a fact that she is a fraud, she is taking peoples money for things. a REAL gift shouldnt be wated on the public!!
-
Of course she is a fraud. All psychic who claim paranormal power are frauds. They don't want to subject themselves to testing (James Randi has a 1,000,000 reward) because they know they will lose. Magicians are just as good at doing the psychic cold read act as any psychic. So why would I believe someone would have a power that is impossible according to science. The rational solution is that there is fraud involved.
-
Yes Sylvia Brown is a fraud, they all are frauds. People are not born with psychic powers and cannot aquire them.
-
Why does she always cover up her ears, is there an earplug, or is she an alien?
-
There is no doubt that she is a fraud. Go to Youtube and view one of the many videos showing her "busted" making stuff up. Here's a good one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlEhLJi0sRo She told these people that their son was definitely dead. He turned up later, alive, with his abductor and another kidnap victim. Here's another great one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPBU-nwBEjw&feature=related Also, check out James Randi, the magician. He has exposed so many frauds (like Sylvia and Uri Gellar) that it's ridiculous that people still believe in this stuff.
-
yes I do for the most part
-
I don't know if Sylvia is a fraud but her haircolor sure is.
-
Sylvia Brown is one of the best psychics going. i have several of her meditations and i too have seen her on Montel and i feel that this woman is no fraud. i love her....think that she is great
-
She is completely full of shit. She is a con woman. Meaning, she fools you with "confidence." She acts like she knows with certainty so much that it tricks you into believing her. She's a liar and a bullshit artist. I hope she dies in a fucking fire. Or should I say, I hope she joins the "spirit world" soon.
-
Why don't you just ask god.
-
The question is who is she following God or the Devil. If a person is to say I am Psychic than they are saying I hear the voice or a gost and this gost is giving me info. If this gost was the Holy Gost than her answer would always be true. If she is following the Devil than her name will have Psychic before it and what she will say is not always true. The Holy Gost can speak to everyone if you ask and pray. No one is any better than anyone else. Some one should ask Sylvia why she is following the Devil and why she wants to harm people. It is not write she will be judged very badly.
-
I can't say for sure if she is a fraud. I always have to doubt television shows who feature psychics as guests. In my area, we had a television show which featured a local psychic. During the show she took calls from viewers. My Daughter was one of those callers. She asked if she would have another child and the psychic told her when it would happen and what would happen following, which wasn't a usual pregnancy. She was exactly right. My daughter was not asked any questions before being on the air, except for her first name. Personally, I believe there are genuine psychic's out there, who are blessed with a special gift.To make a general atatement saying all psycics are frauds is unfair.
-
If you call a christian someone that follows God a psychics because they have a spiritual gift and God speaks to them. It is a slam it is like calling a African American the "n" word. If you go to a Psychic your pretty much asking the devil for information. You can just ask God he can speak to anyone. Let me tell you there is another word for spirits talking to you it is Schizophrenia and it is god punishing people that a inquiring info from the devil. Or helping a Christian that has been abused. I really would not do that anymore!
-
I think that at one time she may have had some real ability, but she built on it with so much of her own imagination she doesn't know what her 'gift' is telling her or what it was she made up.
-
I'm sure if her powers were real, she wouldn't charge money! She would use them for good and to help people. She may, but for $800 for a phone call, that screams SCAM! ...in my humble but accurate opinion.
-
I was curious about her so I searched the internet and found www.stopsylviabrowne.com it's really interesting and based on facts!
-
I think if she really had this "gift from God" she wouldn't be charging over $500. for a reading. I do believe some people have the gift but don't exploit it.
-
She's completely fake. YA has a link that describes all that. She has told patients they will live a year and he died in 3 days. things like that. Her ex husband has even made statements about her false predictions. I don't have the link but if you want I can try to find it..no promises though..
-
Fake....I still think that Stan Marsh is the better psychic. And Montel can't get him on his show. Just my opinion for the record.
-
I think she is a loooney... Making money off of lying to people... Not syaing I don't believe in some of those people but Seriously! One time this lady asked her "Is my mom ever around me?" Sylvia says something along the lines of "You know those hangup phone calls you get? That is her." What?! I get those calls very often! I think everyone does! Jeeez Sylvia! Go smoke another Cigarette!
-
In my father's house, there are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you.
-
In short, If you were the son of God, and had a short time to be with here on Earth, you would discuss everything necessary in the short time that you had here.
-
Fake :)
-
She is always on Montel because she brings ratings to the show. I don't think she is a fake but I don't always agree with her behavior either.
-
No truth to that big bullfrog.
-
I do not believe she is a fraud.
