It is written in the bible so why wouldn't they believe it? Yes, the Jehovahs witness teachings is direct from the bible, not 1 word is unbelieved or left out. Only we study it ourselves and don't really on 1 preacher to tell it to us. (ie. priests in churches and the pope, do they encourage you to read the bible daily and learn from it yourself?)

Gone!Actually, the Watchtower does not believe or condone you reading scripture on your own. They claim you can only understand the bible through them. Isn't that true? "Only this organization functions for Jehovah's purpose and to his praise. To it alone God's Sacred Word, the Bible, is not a sealed book," (Watchtower, July 1, 1973, p. 402). "Thus the Bible is an organizational book and belongs to the Christian congregation as an organization, not to individuals, regardless of how sincerely they may believe that they can interpret the Bible," (Watchtower, Oct. 1, 1967, p. 587) But they condemn Catholics for the same claim, "The Vatican belittles Bible study by claiming it is the only organization authorized and qualified to interpret the Bible," (Watchtower, July 1, 1943, p. 201) "We should eat and digest and assimilate what is set before us, without shying away from parts of the food because it may not suit the fancy of our mental taste . . . We should meekly go along with the Lord's theocratic organization and wait for further clarification, rather than balk at the first mention of a thought unpalatable to us and proceed to quibble and mouth our criticisms and opinions as though they were worth more than the slave's provision of spiritual food. Theocratic ones will appreciate the Lord's visible organization and not be so foolish as to put against Jehovah's channel their own human reasoning and sentiment and personal feelings," (Watchtower, Feb. 1, 1952, p. 79-80). "It should be expected that the Lord would have a means of communication to his people on the earth, and he has clearly shown that the magazine called The Watchtower is used for that purpose," (1939 Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses, p. 85) "We all need help to understand the Bible, and we cannot find the Scriptural guidance we need outside the 'faithful and discreet slave' organization," (Watchtower, Feb. 15, 1981). "From time to time, there have arisen from among the ranks of Jehovah's people those, who, like the original Satan, have adopted an independent, faultfinding attitude...They say that it is sufficient to read the Bible exclusively, either alone or in small groups at home. But, strangely, through such 'Bible reading,' they have reverted right back to the apostate doctrines that commentaries by Christendom's clergy were teaching 100 years ago . . " (Watchtower, Aug. 15, 1981). "We cannot claim to love God, yet deny his word and channel of communication," (Watchtower, Oct. 1, 1967, p. 591). "All who want to understand the Bible should appreciate that the "greatly diversified wisdom of God" can become known only through Jehovah's channel of communication, the faithful and discreet slave," (Watchtower, Oct. 1, 1994, p. 8) etc. etc. etc.

Linda JoyJames 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not and it shall be given him." Anyone who believes in the Bible should believe you can go directly to God for your answers.

ThinkerJWs bible likes to change words to show they worship more than one god. See John 1:1 as an example. Compare their bible with the KJV. See if you can see the change.

Yes we do. We can see where in Revelation Chapter 12:7 when war broke out in heaven and the archangel Michael and his angels battled with the dragon and his angels. The serpent is plainly identified as the Devil in vs 9. Interestingly is says here that the Devil was misleading the entire inhabited earth. That helps explain the worlds condition today. Also note that in verse 12, a loud voice from heaven says, "Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing that he has a short period of time". This also explains the rapidly worsening condtions on our planet. Certainly, sinful, imperfect men can take the credit for many of the problems and injustices on earth. However, the level of depravity, violence, sexual abuse and terrorism points to a powerful superhuman outside influence. Just look at how quickly moral standards have erroded in recent years. Look at what now passes for entertainment. Look at the behavior of many people in public. Satan has been cast down from heaven with his demons and their influence is clearly manifest.

Satan enjoyed living in heaven until 1914. Then he was cast out. It says so in the Bible.

Satan clearly was tossed out of heaven long before 1914. One key text proving this is Luke 10:18, where Jesus said: "I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightening." Satan was on earth when he initially revolted against God. Notice that Lucifer/Satan said in Isaiah 14:13: "For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: . . . " So although Lucifer had been the covering cherub, right over God Himself on His throne (see Ezek. 28:14), he then was transferred to the earth while still obedient. While on the earth, ruling over it, he (and one third of the other angels) decided to rebel against God. As he rose up to attack heaven, he was cast down to earth, as Jesus had seen. It does appear, however, that Satan will once again try to rise up from the earth to attack heaven, only to get cast down again. Notice Rev. 12:7-9, which is about the time of the end, not about the initial revolt of Lucifer against God: "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. " So Satan will be thrown down to the earth again, but this hasn't happened yet. The year 1914 was too long ago for this second attack on heaven by Satan and the demons. Jesus did not return secretly that year, which is what I believe they teach about what happened then. mills88@gmail.com

Which religion is correct? stand them all up against scripture. 1. The cross? The bible states that Jesus died on a "STAURUS"...this is an upright stake or can even be a tree...NO CROSSBAR. The insistent use by the RCC of a crossbar cross negates the whole religion. And WHICH religion is obedient to Matthew 28: 19,20...ONLY the J.W's. Two simple facts clearly indicate the religion acceptable to God...whose NAME is Jehovah...JHWH..the tetragrammaton.

That's what the Bible says. For this reason the witnesses believe Satan and his demons were cast out, expelled from the heavens to never return. The sad news is that he has been confined to earth's immediate vicinity. (Revelation 12:7-9,12)

Scripture says so.... (Revelation 12:7-9) And war broke out in heaven: Miʹcha

Yes, they believe Satan's pride originated from his desire to be like God.

Absolutely! (Revelation 12:7-9) And war broke out in heaven: Miʹcha·el and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them any longer in heaven. 9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. (Revelation 12:12) On this account be glad, you heavens and you who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing that he has a short period of time.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5) But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.

How do you interpret what is written in Revelation 12:9? Have you ever considered studying the Bible for the purpose of drawing closer to God? Do you ask for His direction before you read the Bible, so as to attain accurate knowledge? God will bless the efforts of those who seek Him with a complete heart (1 Chr 28:9).

Yes, we as Witnesses do believe this. At Revelations 12:7-9 it says, 7 And war broke out in heaven: Miʹcha·el*i and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled 8 but they did not prevail,* nor was a place found for them any longer in heaven. 9 So down the great dragonj was hurled, the original serpent,k the one called Devill and Satan, mwho is misleading the entire inhabited earth;nhe was hurled down to the earth,o and his angels were hurled down with him.. Yes, this is stated in the Bible. “War in heaven” For a time, Satan the Devil moved about in the spirit realm at will, including entering directly before God alongside the faithful angels. (Job 1:6) But the Bible foretold that there would be a “war in heaven” that would result in Satan’s being expelled from heaven and “cast out into the earth.” (Revelation 12:7-9, King James Version) Both Bible chronology and world events confirm that this war in heaven has already taken place. The Devil is now confined to the vicinity of the earth. Does this mean that the Devil lives in a specific place on our planet? For example, the ancient city of Pergamum was said to be “where the throne of Satan is” and “where Satan is dwelling.” (Revelation 2:13) Actually, these expressions likely refer to the concentration of satanic worship in that city. The Bible says that the Devil rules over “all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth,” so he does not dwell in any one physical location on earth but is confined to the vicinity of the earth.—Luke 4:5, 6. Oh yes they definitely believe that Satan and his demons was cast out of heaven and they have arrived at a date of 1914 because that date coincides with the beginnings of Bible prophecy of wars and a great pestilences. Furthermore there is a legend which came from Indonesia it's called The Day The Stars fell. It happened back in the era of about 1917. The story tells of the night that the Stars fell from the sky a great meteor shower all through the night the Stars fell and the people said that all during the night they could hear the sound of people screaming in pain and cursing of the name of God. The legend goes that about 5:00 in the morning people began to hear knocking upon their doors. And everyone went to answer their door and those that answered the door caught the Spanish influenza and most of them died. Jehovah's witnesses are not the only religions that believes that the 1914 1918. Of History was when the devil and his demons got kicked out of heaven.

Absolutely yes they believe that it happened around 1914. Going to the Earth what went to the Sea because the devil has come down to you having great anger knowing that he has a short time left
