Interestingly, I don't believe I *have* a map in my car. I should probably get one because I might actually use it if I venture far enough from a familiar area.
-
I have Thomas Bros. Guide which I use quite often.
-
Yes, I do! It's a map of Ontario. I use it if I'm going somewhere and don't know the directions. (I totally stated the obvious there...)
-
Yes, and I do use it. I am big on maps.
-
Yes I do. Acutally, I have several. I'm a land surveyor, maps are my life.
-
I have a map booklet of southern Ontario, as well a more detailed map of a specific area of where I used to live. I should probably get one of the area I'm living in now. They are mostly there for a "just in case" scenario. Most of the time if I'm going somewhere I don't know, I check out Google Maps first. That way I can get the directions made for me, to which I can adjust for what I know of traffic, construction etc. That will usually be good enough, and I'll print out a map of what a very localized portion of the map looks like. That way if I get turned around in some small city streets, I'll still know where I am.
-
Nope... I usually mapquest it and take that with me, and if I'm going on a roadtrip I usually just go and watch for signs... It's more of an adventure that way... :o)
-
After getting tired of agruing in the car because maps and especially MAPQUEST (which should be called CRAPQUEST) being inaccurate, I installed a GPS system in my truck. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.... the bliss of never getting lost again! We arrive quickly and relaxed.
-
No GPS.
-
No, I'm now totally addicted to my Navigation system.
-
A GPS system.
-
I just bought a TomTom SatNav and it rocks.. Its all touchscreen and 3D and you can choose loads of celebrity voices to talk you to your destination. It makes maps looks WAY old fashioned.
-
Used to but i use a sat nav now, takes the stress out of driving.
-
No, if I'm driving to a place I haven't been to, I go to Mapquest to get directions.
-
Yes and yes
-
yes x 2
-
Yes, I have a map of British Columbia in my car, I hardly ever use it though because I rarely travel outside of town.
-
Yes, I think I do. And I have no idea why. No, I don't use it. I might have to go check that out now.
-
what a coincidence just picked up some today from a handyman who does hauling jobs. he stops by and had a bunch of maps. one i needed for this weekend go figure.
-
Yes, I have one that covers the city and towns around here and one great state book of maps with topos which we use to take all the back roads around the state. I love back roads and HATE interstates and toll roads.
-
I have a GPS in my car and I use it even in my own town. It comes in handy for finding side streets to avoid all the construction areas during the summer istead of taking the detours that all the rest of the traffic takes.
-
Topos of every sq. " of Arizona are in both Blazers & the 70 Chevy P/U. Caddy & New Blazer also have Portable GPS. mounts. John
-
Yes and yes. I am directionally challenged and I don't have GPS.
-
Yes, I always keep a bunch of AAA maps for all of New England and New York State in my glovebox. I like to get lost on purpose sometimes when I'm taking a leisurely drive home from somewhere, but I tend to need the map to get back on track once I'm ready to definitely head home.
-
I have a really good map, although it's suffering a lot with old age. It hasn't been used since I got that fabulous gadget, the 'sat nav'! That is brilliant!
-
I don't have the patience to read a map. Seriously. I'd rather just go.
-
I have three maps in my car.
