i used to until country went in other directions. I love rock, I love folk, but I don't want them blending and pretending to be something else. I love old bluegrass. and cowboy songs. I love folk songs and mountain music. I just don't want it jazzed up and put to a rock beat. I remember when country singers made fun of rock singers because they had long hair. Now it's the other way around:-)

I do indeed! I grew up VERY into Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, which I do still enjoy, but a lot of what is referred to as Classic Rock is to done to death in my opinion, not to mention too soft, whiny and lame. I went through a phase a while back where I started to come around to liking new Country music, then it tapered of a bit. Now I'm more inclined to listen to it than any of the crappy "Rock" stations in the immediate area around me The enclosed picture is a T-shirt logo I'd love to own, it speaks to me in many ways.

Yes. I like country music and like to go to country concerts. I like listening to U.S. 99 in Chicago and I like to meet the country singers. I have met many of them. I would like to meet Brad Paisley. Did not get a chance to do so the last time he was in my town...

I like most country music. I've seen many country concerts(Shania Twain,Garth Brooks, Statler Brothers, Clint Black, Tanya Tucker Charlie Daniels and more). One country singer I would love to see and to meet in person,right now, is Bucky Covington!Mmmmm.....

Not as a general rule, but my friend turned me on to Clay Walker's song about mama before she was mama, in a string bikini in Tijuana and she wouldn't admit to smoking marijuana. It was a pretty cute little song.

Depends. I like some of the classic stuff. Who could forget the line in Merle Haggard's "Mama Tried" that goes "I turned 21 in prison, doin' life without parole". Compare that to alot of today's so-called country lyrics. "I can feel you breathe??" Please.

Yes... country music is the type of music that I mainly listen to. I don't like the "newer" music such as rap. (Fergie, Soldier Boy... etc. Stupid songs.)

Yes, I love it. It's so fantastic music. Especially, I love the older acoustic country sound with acoustic guitar, fiddle, banjo, harmonica and accordion. Especially I love storytelling country songs about rural life in the USA, like Dolly Parton's older songs (like "Daddy Was an Old time Preacher Man", "Coat of Many Colors" and "My Tennesse Mountain Home").

I listened to C&W music for more years than I care to remember. I hardly listened to anything else until my mid-forties. But when I was driving truck, the darn songs would get stuck in my head and I couldn't sleep when I was supposed because they just kept going round and round. So I changed to.... Classical and Soft Rock. How's that for a BIG change? But I still like to listen to the older country songs every now and then.
