Yup and I always use the define function on google to search for meanings before consulting a dictionary site.
-
No,my apple computer has it built into the system.
-
Sometimes, yes! That ''Did you mean..?'' feature is quite handy.
-
No. People who can't spell put things on websites that Google will find. I use m-w.com
-
Oh Yeah - It just has to be done. Esp. when you don't feel like opening Word etc.
-
No
-
nope, mac and firefox does it for me.
-
not usually...I'm pretty good at spelling on my own.
-
No. The best thing to do if you’re a bad speller is type what you want to say in Microsoft Word….Then copy and paste what you’ve written.
-
yes if I can't find it in my dictionary or have no clue on how to spell a word.
-
No, I old fashion, I still use microsoft word! ;)
-
Hell yeah, all the time, it's fast. Just type it in and it will say did you mean ....?
-
I use Firefox's real-time spell checker for internet usage. Even though sometimes it's a little of, as it's telling me my spelling of internet is wrong. But for the most part I'm a good speller anyway. It picks up the mistakes I make if I'm typing to fast and miss something. I do however use Google as a dictionary (it actually redirects me to answers.com or something, but I'm still using google to do it.
-
I use Firefox so have a spell checker available everywhere for just about everything.
-
All the time, and I thought I was the only one.
-
Nope..I'm confident enough of my spelling skills.Ü
-
i hav firfocks and it has a bilt in spelchek, butt I nevver use it becos my speling is brilyant. ;-)
-
Yes I do
-
Yes, however its not always effective since it returns the most commonly way the word is spelt - which is not the correct spelling. http://spellcheck.net is handy.
-
oh yea................... up :)
-
sure do!
-
All the time. I use Google for pretty much EVERYTHING. Another easy spell check I use is just going into a word processing program (Corel WP or Microsoft Word) and write it how it sounds and then check the spell check.
-
No. I use dictionary.com.
-
no....
-
Yep it is right there in the upper right hand corner!
-
yes, often...but I have a dictionary beside me as well.
-
Firefox is my browser and it automatically spell checks. It gives options of words; correct spelling and words with similar spelling. It's great.
-

Yep.
-
More often than I care to admit, thanks.
-
I use it to fine words type the word plus definition and it will give you it as the first link which you don't even need to click. For spelling I use Firefox or just know how to spell the word.
-
Yes - and I use it to settle arguments. When I disagree with my friend about the spelling of a word, we see which spelling has the most results on Google and let that be the answer.
-
never thought of that! Great idea!!!
-
Oh heck yeah. I almost thought I was the only one!
-
Nope. I open up Word and type in the word and see if I get it wrong and if I do, I right click the word and get some suggestions. If I don't get the suggestion that I want, I check Dictionary.com (which also has a thessaurus function so I can look up similar words to try and find the word I want if I am slaughtering the spelling).
-
Yes. But just for a few words. But I don't like Google Toolbar, although it has a spellchecker, because I find that it takes too much resources from IE. For normal spellchecking in an official brief, I use Word for Windows. For AB, I look in Google for words I am not so sure about. I have rather positive feedback about my spelling. Particularly when people notice that I am not a native speaker. An some people here use very curious dialects, I think most ABers will find it less annoying to read my writing.
-
no my browser auto checks for me =D
-
yessss and alot even for the stupidest spelling Flash Back how do you spell swallow??.....sallow or something like that....double l or w, ill go to google! ONE TIME I EVEN FORGOT HOW TO SPELL GOOGLE!! -_- not a fun day
-
no, i use Firefox or Safari and it tells me if i made a spelling mistake.
-
All the time!!
-
Google is my preferred search engine but Firefox does all my spell checking for me. Since it's lexicon is so limited, I have literally added thousands of words to my personal FF database.
-
Like every day. Other people do this? LL!
-
Only when the computer is on, other than that i use my Seiko SII American Heritage Dictionary.
-
no I have dictionary.com search field in my toolbar
-
Yup, all the time. I never really thought about it though. Great question, it made me smile.
-
No. I use Microsoft Word.
-

More often than I would like to admit. ^_^
-
I have in the past and I probably will in the future.
-
I used to be an excellent speller, but old age or something crazy set in, and now I have to google just about every word. Well, maybe not every word. I did manage to write this without googling. Oh God! I hope i've spelt everything right. he he!
-
nope, instead download free spell check program and add it under tools on IE, that way I just type every thing out then at the end click the spell check, it work just like the one in Microsoft word. found at www.snapfiles.com go to freeware section

I'm an excellent speller, but if I really don't know, I look it up in a dictionary. (or on dictionary.com...you know.)
-
me im pretty decent, sometimes i forget which is the british spelling vs. american spelling so i use the dictionary. might get my friend or mom, possibly a teacher to look over my essays for mistakes. or, i will use spell check :)
-
my speeling is so gud, that I dun need it. But for real, copy/paste into MS Word or other word processing program if it comes down to it.
-
If the program I'm using offers one, I'll use that. But mostly, I just proofread it myself. I have an eagle eye.
-
I ussse MS woordd :)
-
Spell check, my computer, or a dictionary.
-
I re-read it myself, then if the word in question still doesn't look right, I use a dictionary. Spell check is great for spelling but, as my daughter found out the hard way, collage and college are both words. ;-)
-
Only on words Firefox doesn't know how to spell. It handles all common English words but can't help with sceintific terms, drug names, foreign languages, proper nouns, etc.
-
