I've had agoraphobia, though mildly and not for every long. But occasionally I feel it still there, ready to rqge forward if I don't make a concerted effort to go out and be social, meet new people, go to new places. In the winters many years ago, we had to walk out to our car almost a mile to go to town. It was just so hard to leave the house. SO I often stayed home and only saw my husband. Then I found between the lessening daylight hours of winter and the isolation, I was fearful of leaving the house. It was hard to get passed it. I don't ever want to feel that paralyzed again. You have no life and fear is around the corner constantly and you are positive you will die from fear.

I have agoraphobia, but a mild version. It used to be much worse. I am most comfy at home, inside..I am fairly comfortable when I am anywhere within easy walking distance of home. The further I get away from home the more anxious I tend to become. But since I was a single parent I always had to go out to work to earn a living, so my experience has never been that bad. :)
