If I am understanding you right, Yes! Which one is it $3,000. or $500. an acre? Either one sounds good just to lease your mineral rights. It depends on the area of Texas, though. Dallas (Barnett Shale) area is going higher than most places. I search mineral rights & the client here in East Texas has been known to pay $100 - $275. an acre with an 1/5 royalty. Make sure you get a "pugh clause". I have "heard" up to $600., in other areas,but that is hearsay. Hope this helps.
