why do they need a restart? What does that do? the only time my phone gets turned off is if the battery goes flat.

Whoever said that is giving you misinformation. You only turn off a device and turn it back on as a restart if there are performance issues.

It sounds right to me. You don't use a cell phone/tablet while you are asleep, and leaving them on during the night means that your mobile devices are still using energy. ⚡ When you wake up to start your day, you also want your mobile devices to start off fresh as soon as you restart them.

I don't know about "once a day" but they do require periodic restarting to keep them functioning properly. 2/2/25
