I doubt they are broke. Maybe Axl is broke, though. GnR had a huge record... back in the 1980's. Their popularity in the 90's was arguably riding on the coattails of their earlier success. But then Axl fired the rest of the band, took forever to work on their next album, got too into excess, joined ACDC, and now sounds like Mickey Mouse. Now that some of the musicians from their more well known era are back, Axl's vocal tone is a mere shadow of what it once was.
