He and I were the only ndns in our class in the public school they sent us to back in the early 50s. A small school with 1st thru 8th grade in 2 rooms. We were both the first in our families that weren't sent away to ndn boarding schools. He died from cancer a few years back, and I still miss him. 1/18/25

⭐️CreamcrackeredCrikey, that's a long time, no wonder you missed him.

dalcoconoYes indeed. We stayed tight from the time we were little boys until we were old men. We always had each others back when the party got rough. Cancer was the only fight I couldn't back him in. From the time they diagnosed him until his death was just about 4 weeks.

⭐️CreamcrackeredSadly it gets missed. My grandfather was treated for chest infection he had cancer of sternum. My grandmother diagnosed with irritable bowel had bowel cancer, my friend diagnosed back problems, initially told not cancer, died 2 months later it was cancer. Lucky to have sustained such a great relationship with him though, lovely to hear.

Lol! "Getting in trouble at tech school," I can only imagine. Still coming to see you when you moved state, that's a test of a true friendship, some so easily fade away.
