I heard he had stocks in Hughes Aircraft, Sealand (now Maersk Shipping) and Huey Helicopter and these stock increased in value enormously. Is this true and by how much?

you are probably correct was it known in the 60's? His major foreign policy 'achievement' was to squander wealth and manpower on Vietnam according to google, All the way with LBJ money for dud politicans and evil corporations.
