But it would also depend on what's causing your gas. And generally speaking the packets of instant oatmeal are not as healthy for you as the pure oatmeal. And, of course, as with potatoes and rice, it usually depends on what you add to it whether or not it's going to be high in calories. I use 1/4 cup oatmeal daily in my 32 oz. breakfast drink.
  • I think it's the oats and not the fruit giving you gas. Oats are worse than beans for producing intestinal gas. 8/1/24
