  • Personally, I've always wondered why it mattered to anyone. It's not like you possess your former body any longer once you leave it. Imagine telling your relatives to burn down your house after you die. To me, it's almost the same idea.

      I don’t know why someone would want to burn down a relatives house unless they are an arsonist but I think I understand what you’re saying.
  • Your body rots in the ground, feeds worms, beetles etc, the plot is only bought for 100 years maximum, then it's reused and fragments of bones moved elsewhere. When your cremated, your remains are burnt, if some remain, are crushed, and put in a jar to be buried or scattered with those who are left, or scattered straight away, less expense for a pure cremation, I think thats why its opted for, giving your remains to medical science costs nothing.
