Have you noticed we no longer do any back burning?
Then after 5 or 10 years the fuel supply for fires is huge then we cry that the fires are so big?

The fire crews in CA were "back burning" or "back firing in order to remove fuel from the oncoming fires a few years ago. Th USFS often has "control burns" trying to lighten the fuel load in our national forests. The national park service does the same thing. The problem has been that they have allowed the fuel load to get way out of control, and when it does catch fire, it runs amok! 10/1/23
