A 15 to 30 minute wait for Triple A to send a truck. It's happened to me a number of times, but the most memorable was on a road trip to NYC with my boyfriend. It was after dark when we decided to cross the Brooklyn Bridge. It was also pouring rain so we couldn't see much. As soon as we got a block from the bridge on the Brooklyn side, the engine died. This was pre-cell phone era. My boyfriend volunteered to walk down the block in the rain to call Triple A. He came back drenched to the bone and told me that he had a very hard time convincing the dispatcher that he was the person with the membership in a distinctly female name. The rescue truck did come and of course I was there with my photo ID.

notyouraveragedummy I don't travel out in the wilderness. I've never been farther than Triple A can find me. Most often it's a flat tire or a dead battery. If it was a wreck, I might have to call for an ambulance.

I have water, some snack foods, a couple of blankets, a knife, matches and TP. Hopefully, I will have signal on my phone too. 2/27/23

Id have a haep of tools cable and electrical asseorys nothing that would fix the car and nothing I could eat. I do have a couple of litres of water on board. The car wont break down and stop so don't have to worry about that, That is why the car is maintained to the book. None of my cars have broken down since I stopped driving GM vehicles,last century.

My mobile device, plenty of money in my debit card to Uber myself out of a stranded situation, pepper spray and my good health, just in case I need to walk to the nearest city.
