Pick a direction - the direction you believe to most likely lead to civilization or a road - and walk in that direction until you find something. If you happen across a stream or river, walk downstream (because that is more likely to be where a town is).

If I was lost in the woods with a mobile phone without a working battery I would do my best to retrace my steps as I entered the forrest.

Having been one who wasn't afraid to serve his country, I was taught land navigation long before there was such a thing as cell phones. I know how to navigate by the stars and build a compass from things I find in nature.

Linda Joy Yes, but in my condition I'd likely have a cardiac event before getting out if I had somehow been transported to the middle of the woods with a low cell battery and no backup power to begin with!! hahaha -

if you are relying on your phone for directions you shouldn't ever leave a city. How did people ever get around 40 years ago. What if I rarely carry my phone with me? I think I've answered this question before and you lot have deleted my last answer as it must of upset a pathetic ?
