Actually: here in the U.S. they are probably becoming LESS so as our government is very concerned about the consequences of cyber attacks on infrastructure and (and, basically, ANY strategically-important resource or utility) is spending a lot of money and expert manpower in protecting our country from such things. Note: UNLIKE most businesses, which are pretty much left to "fend for themselves" when it comes to PREVENTION of cyber attacks.

Fortunately, the U.S. is doing it's best to "stay on top of that", and as far as I can tell they are doing a VERY good job (not a PERFECT job, mind, but a VERY good job). -

Threats will always exist, which is why behind a rising number of power outages are new stresses on the system caused by aging power lines, a changing climate and a power-plant fleet rapidly going green. Quote: "(not a PERFECT job, mind, but a VERY good job)." The common sense in it: what is not "perfect" is bound for errors and malfunctions. *Facepalm*

The US has more power outages than any other developed country rundown poor infrastructure ,the inability for supply to keep up to demand is more of a problem than cyberattacks
