Why do I gain/lose a lot of weight in short intervals for no reason?
There were times when one would assume I would gain weight from the way I was eating (eating desserts every other day, not moving much, eating junk foods) and I’d lose weight. And there were times when one would think I’d lose weight (walking 6 miles a day, eating one meal a day, eating healthy) and i’d gain a bunch of weight.
Examples:
Went on cruise where i ate over three meals a day along with a dessert for each meal (3 desserts a day) and i lost four pounds by the end of the week
a couple years ago i was eating a bunch of junk food (Cheetos and desserts and lots of food) and i lost 14 pounds in 2-3 weeks (from 128 to 114 pounds)
I went a year without sugar (along with eating healthy: avocados and quinoa, etc.) and i was gaining weight
recently i gained 12 pounds in maybe like a month or less (from 125 to 137 pounds) and the entire time i’ve been eating 1-2 meals a day and walking on average 6 miles a day and eating no dessert and eating no junk food. (the only thing i would eat that can be considered dessert is dark chocolates from Trader Joe’s) also for several of these days prior to the weight loss i kept going 24-28 hours without eating (because i didn’t have access to food) so why did i gain so much weight?
Is this normal? If not, what could possibly be wrong with me? Also, how do i lose this weight when my body is so unpredictable? I’m scared that following a diet that works for everyone else would only make me gain weight cos my body is frickin w...
