The only way to do this is to answer the phone and ask whoever it is for the number.
-
You can if you've got that person listed in your address book on your cell phone. If they call private the cell phone automatically reveals the number.

well first access ur mobile from ur computer is in cable, then open files, search and then search for lass.dll once you find it there will be an option 4 u to change the PRIVATE ReECIEVER to SHOW PRIVATE RECEIVER, turn off ur fone then wala. NOTICE all fone will have lass.dll with out it it wont even work so take ur time to find it it sdome times may take a while but its worth it.

I have recently had quite afew private number calls where the person on the other end doesnt utter a word. It has started to annoy me and also I would love to know who is on the other end. Can my mobile phone network trace the calls and if they can not reveal the number at least block it.

You absolutely cannot find out the source of a "private number" even if you have that number programmed into your cell phone. When a caller puts in *67 before they dial, their caller ID is blocked. There is no possible way for the recipient to figure out the source of the number who is calling them. I just tested this on several of my cell phones and each one comes up "Unknown Number". If you call from your cell phone and block the number with *67 and call a landline, it comes up with Private Caller. There are actually legal reasons why when someone blocks their call that there is no way for it to be revealed. Everyone has the right to block the caller ID and no one can tell who the call is from (including the carrier). Thanks. SukiSue.

It's taken awhile, but now there is a technology available that can unblock private calls and numbers quick and easy.......and it's not limited to just law enforcement anymore. The technology that will allow you to unblock or unmask private callers has just been released by the same company who makes the SpoofCard, TelTech Systems. Their new service is called TrapCall and it's used to unblock private callers. You can even find out the billing information with the paid for version.....other than that the free version will let you unblock private calls without any restrictions. For a detailed explanation of how this works and some advice to keep you out of trouble check out this page. http://www.horsebanger.com/spoofcard/how-to-unblock-private-calls-private-number.html
