  • Sound equipment wasn't as technologically advanced as it is now and there were a lot of people who attended his speeches. Another reason was that he tried everything he could to avoid war but he was pulled into it (Judea declared war on Germany on March 24, 1933). He sent one peace offer after another to Britain - even proposing to disarm Germany if Britain would do the same. Britain's response was to declare war on Germany. During the Weimar administration, after Germany had almost all of its power stripped by the Versailles Treaty, Germany was little more than a powerless puppet state with Capitalist Western countries and Communistic Soviet Union vying for political influence. Small-scale revolutions were commonplace. The Jews dominated the arts and professions while Germans were starving, jobless, and homeless. Much of his animation during speeches was his passion for the plight of the German people.
