There are almost 1 Million police officers in the US.. Considering the thousands upon thousands of armed criminals they face, daily, I'm surprised that number isn't higher.

OrangeDonRumpIf you are talking shootings in general (not just ones involving police), that number is actually over 30,000 annually in the US. Earlier, your question specified police, which is why I included the police stat in my reply, above.

I hope you included the 186 dead and 841 wounded from Chicago.😗You are wrong big time.

I think they're dead. What do you think about them?

It's a matter of no respect for the rule of law which has been the Liberal Democrat agenda for at least as far back as the Obama administration and the creation of Black Lives Matter. That's not to blame everything on BLM, but that was the approximate time period when violent protests began to surge. Currently, the Liberals are on a kick to dismantle the 2nd amendment. And, following their Marxist playbook, the way to do it is to 1) create a problem, 2) blame it on someone else, and 3) provide the solution. And while they aren't "creating" the problem directly, they have promoted the anti-rule of law agenda, which has triggered violence. They naturally blame it all on Trump and the Conservatives and provide the "solution": ban guns. The problem is, this won't solve anything for private citizens, since criminals will find guns whether they're legal or not - and law-abiding citizens won't have the means to protect themselves. Then you have to think in terms of liberty and freedom. The 2nd amendment's guarantee of the right to bear arms was meant for the people to defend themselves against the government. If the government outlaws guns, the country will succumb to Marxism and America will fall to be a 3rd world country.
