  • This is a pretty rudimentary chemistry problem, since the only thing involved, really, is converting the units. The molar mass of O2 is 32 g/mol, and SO2 is 64.066 g/mol. You need 2 moles of SO2 for every mole of O2, so, with 0.156089 moles of SO2, and 0.15625 moles of O2, SO2 is the limiting reactant. The molar mass of SO3 is 80.066 g/mol, so 0.156089 moles of SO3 is 12.5 g.

How would you go about showing work for this?
