Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) is a colorless and odorless chemical compound, also referred to by some as Dihydrogen Oxide, Hydrogen Hydroxide, Hydronium Hydroxide, or simply Hydric acid. Its basis is the highly reactive hydroxyl radical, a species shown to mutate DNA, denature proteins, disrupt cell membranes, and chemically alter critical neurotransmitters. The atomic components of DHMO are found in a number of caustic, explosive and poisonous compounds such as Sulfuric Acid, Nitroglycerine and Ethyl Alcohol.

Kids are drinking this substance! This is an industrial solvent that can corrode through solid iron! Inhaling this substance in liquid form is a leading cause of accidental death worldwide! What are we going to do to stop this!

Linda Joy Parents need to teach their children what is right and let the children choose whether they want to obey and be protected or disobey and suffer the consequences. Sometimes it takes the death of a classmate to wake these kids up to the seriousness of their choices! This is how its always been throughout history. The best we can do is what you are doing ... informing and educating one another. Above all we all as a community need to love and protect our children by educating them, but ultimately the choice is theirs. If we know they are at risk we can have them evaluated and protected as necessary. Don't take your child's mental health lightly! It could be a matter of life and death! Talk to your child's counselor at school even if you don't think there is a problem just to get an idea of who they think your child is. Or who your child becomes at school. Its probably being addressed at schools isn't it? I haven't been involved in the school system in ten years or more. What do you think needs to be done?
