Do you enjoy grocery shopping? Is it just another chore? Or is it a chore you truly dread?
I used to shop circulars when I had transportation and family. I enjoyed getting a good deal and being in the service of my family. It was exhausting even then, because I did it by myself, but it hurts now! I'm liking the shift to online shopping where they deliver to my door! My shoulders thank you! And my finances as well since I usually get free shipping and it beats the crap outa hunting for parking, hiking to the store through the parking lot, the obstacle course that is the store, waiting in checkout lines and the gas and road rage! Ok, not me but other people. I still haven't ordered fresh groceries for pickup yet, but I would if it didn't cost extra at Aldi. What about you? Do you want to touch, smell, inspect it first? There are definitely tradeoffs, and a person's health is certainly a factor!

Just another chore, albeit made worse by Commissar Newsom the Gruesome's lockdown, social distancing, and all that commie rot.

I used to gird my loins once a week & drive to the supermarket, about an hour of my time & a 15mile round trip, then haul 5 or 6 bags from the car & up the stairs. Since Covid & the first lockdown in the UK I've used on-line ordering. The waiting time has come down from a fortnight to next day or day after because they've taken on more delivery drivers. Delivery charge is between £2 & £4 & I feel this is worth it for not having to drive, park, negotiate the supermarket (& other customers), queue at the check out & carry everything. I get a big order delivered every couple of weeks & will probably never go there again.

I used to hate it and still do for the most part. But being retired and becoming somewhat of a hermit gives me an excuse to get out of the house. I shop online for most of the non-food items except what I can pick up at Walmart. But I'm with Archie Bunker - I want to see what the food looks like before I buy it.

i love to shop and pick my own food out,,i would hate others picking out my vegies and meat..no way ..online shopping is not for me,.

oops again.i never realized i had commented before .....i love shopping..my shops are close to home and the waiting time at the checkout is a small time.it may get more crowded at Christmas but thats ok as long as the ice cream dont melt :) ..id hate getting my groceries online, i like to see what i buy...no road rage here as it a smallish suburb ..id not shop for food in the crazier shopping centres 😉

I don't like it myself. I usually take advantage of the online shopping most stores offer. I submit my order online and go pick it up. Somebody else does the actual shopping for me.

I shop early in the morning when the stores are almost empty and the products are newly stocked. these days it's the only reason I leave the house.
